Alessandra Di Pisa (b. 1977) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans a diverse range of media, including video, performance, text, sound art, installations, artist books, and robotics. Her early works focused on themes of identity, exploring the intersection of linguistic and visual rhetoric through various forms of manipulation.

Over the past decade, Alessandra Di Pisa has collaborated with Robert Stasinski as part of the artist duo DiPisaStasinski, focusing on transdisciplinary artistic research. Their practice draws upon psychology, cognitive science, artificial intelligence, and more-than-human perspectives. By integrating these diverse fields, they explore the role of AI and robotics within broader ecological and philosophical contexts, investigating their potential as dynamic agents in symbiosis with their environments.

Through a technoecological framework, DiPisaStasinski combines performative and aesthetic approaches to challenge anthropocentric narratives and open new pathways for understanding and shaping advanced technologies. Their work engages deeply with the intersections of art, science, and technology, fostering innovative perspectives on the relationship between humans, machines, and the more-than-human world.

In addition to her artistic practice, Alessandra Di Pisa is an Associate Professor in Visual Communication and Design at Linköping University, where she also serves as Head of Division. She has held previous academic positions at institutions including KTH Media Technology and Interaction Design, KTH School of Architecture, and Berghs School of Communication.
